FIRST — When you beat the middle school crowd to the slide at recess. Or the electricity that jammed your nervous system when you finally found out what a kiss feels like. Or when you stood behind a mic and spilled the beans and your heart on the floor in front of a room of strangers.

In July, Story Club South Side celebrates your first times and first-in-lines with featured storytellers who have never been featured before! First-time tellers on what "first" really means! 

Our First-time Featured Storytellers this month are:

• Face-, body-, and mural painter TENE SMITH!

• Fiction writer SOTON ROSANWO!

Hosted by first-time host & Co-Producer CYNTHIA HANIFIN alongside Story Club North Side Host STEPHANIE DOUGLASS!

These are all of the night's happenings:

@ 6:30 PM - A FREE WORKSHOP with Story Club producers for anyone who has a story, an idea for a story, or just the jitters!

@ 7:30 PM - Open Mic sign-up starts (2-3 open mic stories every month!)

@ 8 PM - Live Storytelling Show!

$5 tickets before the show, $10 tickets cash at the door. Cash bar! (We are no longer BYOB, but we offer all the delightful booze you can drink at our cash bar!)

The Co-Prosperity Sphere is the glorious radio station/performance space/art gallery that houses our enthusiasm! Cozy up to the lovinest room in Chicago!
